As a resident on the Jeker valley, I often walk and cycle in this beautiful valley.
"What's important to you about the Jeker Valley?"
The Jeker Valley is a fragile environment: degradation by the cement industry, pollution from industry, hardly any sewage treatment, unsightly housing developments, traffic, aviation, pesticide spraying, etc. If we can make it clear how precious this 65-km area is, we can reduce and hopefully stop these threats, by offering good alternatives. Stichting Leve de Jeker organises activities in a positive way to bring this to the attention of consumers, government and politicians. And that appeals to people. Without a large group of volunteers, this will not happen fast enough. So sign up as a volunteer too!
